Cult favorite Firefly comes to High Def

Firefly coverThe sci-fi show that flopped the first time around but has received a cult-like following on video will be brought out on Blu-Ray in a deluxe package set from Fox. One of the stars recently commented that they had been contacted to contribute to the new DVD and Blu-Ray set.  No release date has been announced or whether it will include the follow up Serenity, which was on HD-DVD.
 
Disney brings Hannah Montana home in 3-D!

Hannah Montana's sold-out concert with the Jonas Brothers ; (The Best Of Both Worlds) will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 19th with a 3-D option.  This film recently was offered in IMAX 3-D theaters and will come complete with 4 pair of 3-D glasses.  It will be very interesting to see how Disney handles the 3-D, as we know they have big  plans for it in the future, re-releasing Toy Story and other popular titles in 3-D in 2009 and beyond.

Of all the DVD releases that come out each year, I most look forward to "Doctor Who" titles. While each of the classic episodes aren't released as frequently as fans would like, I have to hand it to the BBC for taking the time to remaster each and every episode while also including boat loads of extras. Of course, not every episode is going to please fans like myself. "Time-Flight" is one of those eps.
