THE TOMORROW SHOW WITH TOM SNYDER: JOHN, PAUL, TOM & RINGO John Lennon’s Last Televised Interview Finally Available on DVD from Shout! Factory, as well as Interviews with Ringo Starr, and Paul and Linda McCartney On April 25, 1975, John Lennon gave what was to be his last televised interview on “The Tomorrow Show With Tom Snyder.” No one knew then that Lennon would be taking an extended hiatus from public life, taking time to raise his son and live a less public life. Speaking openly on the subjects of drug use, the breakup of the Beatles, and his immigration problems while seeking permanent residency in the U.S., the interview Lennon gave Tom Snyder in 1975 revealed he had tremendous humility and an affecting sense of humor.

It seems like every week we DVD collectors are bombarded with so-called special editions of damn-near every movie on the planet. But was anyone REALLY pining for a two-disc "Holy Schnike" Edition of "Tommy Boy"? I'll take your silence as a definitive no. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Ah, Christmas with the Griswold family. This disc has been re-released by Warner and sports new content making it a "special edition". Like the other Lampoon "vacation" films, this one centers around Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) and his family. His wife of the series, Beverly D'Angelo returns and in keeping with tradition, the kids in the family are played by different child actors. We also get one of E.G. Marshall's final roles, and are treated to a funny performances by Juliette Lewis, Randy Quaid, Doris Roberts, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and William Hickey. Content-Clark has invited his family for Christmas and preparing for the festivities is half the fun in this comedy romp. Whether it is stringing the 10,000 lights on his house which blinds his neighbors, or tromping through the snow for the perfect tree, Clark manages to bumble his way through the holiday with his relatives. My favorite scene is the squirrel attack, which emerges from the tree after Clark cuts it from his neighbor's yard. All in all, its one of the funniest of the "Vacation" films and perfect for the holidays.
