Wrong Turn

Since nearly every other classic horror plot, from "Halloween" to "Alien," has been updated to include "a hip ensemble of up-and-coming young stars" (quoted right off the box of this one), it's inevitable that someone would eventually get around to ripping off "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." "Wrong Turn" plays like a big-budget version of that classic, without the subtle skills of Tobe Hooper behind the camera. While the movie is well-made, looks great and features some graphic scenes of carnage, it's also phenomenally predictable and annoying, without a brain in its head or an original bone its body.
