In the wake of Tarantino's disappointing ode to grindhouse cinema (The not so cleverly titled, "Grindhouse.") a healthy dose of the original material could be the perfect cure. This five-disk remedy compiles six of Sonny Chiba's most entertaining action films. While none of the Japanese master martial artist's films won any academy awards, each is a joy to it's own. Action is rarely high art, but it is also rarely as fun to watch as it is in this set.
