As much as I've loved "24" from the get-go, I was positive the creators would only be able sustain its unique premise for maybe a season or two. Thankfully I've ...

Featured Review
As you may or may not have heard, "September Dawn," which is based on real life events, tells the story of the Mormon (and possibly Indian) massacre of 120 Christian wagon train settlers. Instead of tackling this tragic and heinous historical event in a serious and delicate manner, director Christopher Cain clearly gives the impression that the early Mormons were nothing more than inhuman, fanatical, crazy savages and that's part of the problem. I am not religious, but even I can see that this film is so hateful and biased in its point of view that it can be considered slanderous propaganda. It's no wonder there was such a controversy over this film. To make the film even worse, writers Christopher Cain and Carole Whang Schutter add in cliched Hollywood fictional elements such as a sub-plot about horse whispering, 9/11 connections, and a corny "Titanic" like love story between a Christian girl named Emily and a young Mormon man named Jonathan. I really believe Cain would have been better off in telling the story in a different fashion, preferably without a useless love story and with a cast doesn't seem like they're acting in a high school production (Jon Voight, Jon Gries, and Terence Stamp excluded). Extras include: "Slipstream," "The Nines," "The Good Night," trailers, a Blu Ray ad, and two featurettes titled "Descendants: Remembering The Tragedy" and "True Events: A Historical Perspective."
