Fox announces The Omen, Day and Night Watch Blu-Ray Boxed sets

Fox Blu-Ray OmenFox Home Video will release "The Omen" series on Blu-Ray this Fall and will also release Russian horror/fantasy epics NIGHT WATCH and DAY WATCH from director Timur Bekmambetov on September 9th.  "The Omen" will also be available as a single BD title.  The boxed set will include the original Gregory Peck,Lee Remick thriller from 1976 , its sequels and the remake released in 2006.  The first "The Omen" classic will also contain new commentary from Richard Donner, which will be exclusive to the Blu-Ray format.  Here are the details for both boxed sets.

THE OMEN (1976) BD will be authored in AVC (MPEG 4) compression on a dual layer 50GB disc; presented in widescreen (2.35:1 aspect ratio) with English 5.1 DTS HD Lossless Audio plus English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin & Cantonese subtitles.  Bonus features content includes:

Stomping On The Yard

"Stomping On The Yard" is a 90 minute documentary that follows several teams from across the U.S. competing in a stepping championship. For the uninitiated, Stepping, (which was made popular by the film "Stomp The Yard") is a unique mix of dancing and singing. As with any competition, some of the stepping is engaging and creative, while others are downright goofy and gimmicky (see the routine with people wearing Hannibal Lecter masks). Aside from the dancing, however, this docu also shows the positive side of engaging in activities like dancing. In meeting the various teams, we see how stepping has had a positive impact on their lives. Many of them are model students, while others are kind hearted people who are involved in doing charity work. While "Stomping On The Yard" is not something I can recommend running out to see, it certainly beats watching amateur dancers (COUGH "Dancing With The Stars" COUGH) or lame Hollywood films on the subject. "Stomping On The Yard" is presented in fullscreen with an unknown audio track. No extras are included on this disc.
