Pioneer announces 500 GB Blu-Ray disc

Pioneer, who recently announced increased capacity development on Blu-Ray discs, has added more to that capacity for a whopping 500 GB of storage. That's ten times the capacity currently available on Blu-Ray. This new disc capacity will be compatible with existing Blu-Ray hardware, insuring that Blu-Ray has the potential to be around for a long time. The new discs are still in developement and Pioneer projects they will be available in 2-4 years.
