Review

I have to say that I wasn't looking forward to watching this movie, but it was much more entertaining than I expected.
The film starts when convicted street racer Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) tries to start a new life in Tokyo. His obsession with racing sets him on a collision course with the Japenese underworld. To survive, he will have to master drifting, a new style of racing where tricked-out cars slide through hairpin turns, defying gravity and death for the ultimate road rush. "The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift" puts you in the drivers seat.

Picture and Sound

The movie is presented in 2.35:1 Widescreen. The picture is clear and sharp, with accurate color and black tones. The audio is rendered in 5.1 Dolby Digital and it sounds great. The dialogue is clean and the musical interludes sound great.

Extras

The extras were pretty good. There were a few deleted scenes, a commentary by the director, a featurette and more.

Summary

"The Fast and The Furious:Tokyo drift" was a great movie. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Blow Out

Category: DVD Reviews
Brian De Palma's 1981 work stars a younger John Travolta (before his first comeback), Nancy Allen, John Lithgow and Dennis Franz. It is a gripping suspense thriller, with many, many techniques borrowed from the master, Alfred Hitchcock. The formula works well for De Palma and the cast.

Movie Quotes

A boy's best friend is his mother.
