You would have thought that the two creators of "South Park" (Trey Parker and Matt Stone) would have run out of ideas long ago, yet the social reflection of every season shows the talent in writing that this "cartoon" has. The longevity of any animation in the cable business is on the average of two seasons, where "South Park" is now on its 10 season with no end in sight. This DVD will surely not disappoint the "South Park" fan. For the "first-timers" there is graphic content, malicious violence and all the "fixin's" that make this a truly adult DVD. No kiddies should watch this!
South Park has had a cult like following since its inception over 10 years ago. With those early cut-out cartoon figures bouncing across the screen, the animation quality has now caught up with the genius of the writing. There are three DVDs and fourteen episodes, more than enough "South Park" for anyone. As you can see I am a fan of the series and probably have an enormous bias towards the show. This season has everything that makes it a must have in your DVD collection. The best part of this ninth season from "South Park is the controversy"; there is the episode which was banned, then un-banned by Comedy Central named "Trapped In the Closet". In this episode Stan is caught up in the Church of Scientology, which covers actual Dogma of Scientology.

Presented in its original 1.33:1 aspect ratio, the picture has great quality. The impressive sound is also a bonus on this disk, formatted in Dolby 5.1.

Summary

This DVD has one of the best seasons to date from South Park. Highly Recommended.
