Few comedy films have had so much flack thrown at them than "Dogma"; Kevin Smith's religious satire with a heavenly cast. Starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as two cast out angels, they find a loop hole in the heavenly laws and go about getting back into heaven. The only problem with their plan is that it will mean the end of humanity. Linda Fiorentino is a less than devout Catholic, who is summoned by an angel with an attitude (Alan Rickman) to stop the pair.

The high definition 1080p picture is beautiful in detail and the disc's sound is lossless Dolby True H, which adds impact in scenes that are a bit chaotic at times. The disc is a good representation of what Blu-Ray can do and Sony has done a great job with the transfer.

Extras included are in standard defintion, which means there are no Blu-ray exclusives. They include commentaries on technical issues, cast and crew commentary, deleted scenes and outtakes, storyboards from 3 scenes and Jay and Silent Bob Secret Stash commercial.

"Dogma" is a controversial film and must be approached with a sense of humor. Smith has taken a huge risk with the film and I found the satire to be a first rate comedy, with a talented cast that had fun making the film. Thumbs up, dude!
