Review

“Dude, Where’s My Car?” is simply one of the worst films of all time.

The logline: Jesse and Chester wake up from a night of hard partying with little to no memory of what happened the night before. As the two exit their house, they find that their car is missing. The two set out on a surrealistic adventure to find out what happened at the party and where their car is.

I’m not going to waste much time on “Dude, Where’s My Car?” The less said about this film the better. ‘Car’ is nothing more than a brainless cartoony comedy with more pathetic attempts at comedy than you can shake a stick at. Seriously folks, nothing in this so-called film is funny in the least. It literally pained me to watch scenes involving the aliens, the cult, Andy Dick, and any scene with Ashton Kutcher. On the subject of Kutcher, he is unquestionably the least talented actor possibly to ever exist. I have seen more talented extras in a “Mystery Science Theater 3000” film. How anyone can tolerate Kutcher’s line deliveries, his goofy smile, or his cringe-inducing laugh is beyond me. At least director Cameron Crowe had the good sense to see how bad of an actor he was when he reportedly fired him from working on “Elizabethtown.”

Overall: Avoid ‘Dude’ at all costs and watch an actual funny comedic duo like “Bill And Ted” or “Jay and Silent Bob” instead.

Picture and Sound

The 1.85:1 1080P picture quality is nothing special, but it’s solid all around. The colors look sharp, although the picture looks a tiny bit fuzzy in certain parts.

The DTS HD 5.1 Lossless audio track is better than this film deserves. The dialogue and music are too clear. No one needs to hear this travesty with a Hi-Def audio track.

Extras

Thankfully, the only extras are a theatrical trailer and three Blu-ray trailers for “Dodgeball,” “Alien Vs. Predator” and “X-Men: The Last Stand.”
