This "Arnold" vehicle was the first film he did after his heart problems and it shows he should have been more careful to pay off his Dr. bills.  Arnie plays a security guard who is alcoholic and suicidal after the death of his wife and child.  While I can give a good nod to Arnold's progression as an actor in this film, the plot and lapses in logic boggle the mind.
Co-stars include a decent cast led by Kevin Pollack as his sidekick, Gabriel Byrne as Satan, Rod Steiger as a priest and Robin Tunney as the girl Arnie needs to rescue.

Its the end of the millenium and all hell is about to break loose when Satan emerges from the sewers of NYC and takes over the body of Byrne.  He menacingly stalks Robin Tunney, who will bear his child , unless Arnold can stop him.  Along the way, director Peter Hyams throws in a ton of cheap shock shots to keep us on edge. We have seen it so many times before you can predict whats coming 5 minutes before it does.

The Blu-Ray picture is decent enough but is nothing outstanding.  Details are brought out nicely but nothing really pops.  A good upconverter on standard dvd would be close.  Sound is excellent as it is in most action flicks; DTS HD MA is Universal's choice for most of its Blus and its a good choice. 
Extras are almost nil: a commentary track from Hyams, and standard Universal Blu-Ray features of My Scenes  (where you can collect your favorite scenes for playback).

"End Of Days" will be part of Universal's 3 disc Blu-Ray action pack and I wonder why it was chosen.  There are certainly better action titles than this turkey.
