Timothy Olyphant stars in this video game turned motion picture, which will appeal to basically the same type of audience that is into the game. Olyphant plays "47", a bald assassin with a bar code tatooed on the back of his head and works for a mysterious secret organization who eliminates bad guys throughout the world.

47 does his job efficiently until he is double crossed by someone while killing a top ranking official in Russian. Battling him along the way to find the truth, he runs into Robert Knepper, the guy you love to hate in "Prison Break", who is a Russian police investigator. He also is accompanied along the way by Nika (Olga Kurylenko), who was slave traded by corrupt Russian officials. He is also pursued by Interpol cops who know more about him than anyone but can't get anyone to listen.
The very loose lot goes from bloody gun fight to gun fight (lots of spurting blood) until they break that up with 4 assassins going at each other with swords for variety. Olyphant comes across as a stiff, almost video gamish (what a stretch) character and many sets look very much like a video game scene. Fans of Knepper will enjoy his change of accent from southern white trash drawl to heavy Russian. Olga Kurylenko is very effective in her role and is a highlight of the film.
Picture in this blue ray title is outstanding but the blood spurts look fake. Sound is also well balanced and this type of film is perfect for high definition disc with all its explosions and gun play.

In summary, a very brainless action film, where you care little about the characters and can predict the plot. Lots of action , lots of sexy babes, and gallons of blood spurts. Perfect for the 16 year old in your house.
