The highly anticipated fourth Indiana Jones film reunites director Stephen Spielberg with storywriter George Lucas and star Harrison Ford for its final installment in a rowdy, humorous take on the legendary film adventurer and delivers an entertaining, yet predictable story. The film also reunites Ford with Karen Allen as Marion, the lost love of Indy's life.  Shia LBeouf is also along for the ride as an angry teen who is seeking the whereabouts of an old friend of Indy's, a professor (John Hurt) who seems to have disappeared looking for the "lost city of gold".  

Set in the 50's, Jones is captured by villanious Cate Blanchett, playing a campy Russian psychic, who wants to retrieve evidence of alien power in South America.  Once he escapes from her clutches, he allies with LaBeouf and seeks out the professor and in the process discovers something special about Marion and his past.  The film is filled with great action sequences and humor (the lines are really over the top in this one) and of course, a supernatural finish that is totally up there with the oher Indy films.

The Blu-Ray picture is terrific to look at, with deep saturated colors and is highy detailed.  The soundtrack is Dolby True HD and comes through fine on a surround system.  Action films are great for showing off a system and this disc is demo quality.  

Extras are included on both of the discs in the set and are mostly in HD.  On disc one, you'll get a pre-production featurette and a "Return of A Legend" in HD.

Disc two is filled with HD content, including a lengthy production diary, makeup, prop, special effects, post production, numerous photo galleries, and pre-visualization sequences.   It will keep you and your remoe busy for quite a while.  There are no picture in picture or BD-Live features however.

This final Indy film is all of what you'd expect from its genre and delivers clever dialog, an engaging plot, fantastic stunts and a satisfying conclusion to the legendary hero.  The extras are plentiful and entertaining.  Pick this one up to complete your Indy collection.
