Review

Since Nick has given a full review of this film, I won't be repetitive. This Blu-Ray edition is an excellent film transfer with a very sharp picture and high quality sound. Warner did well with this one and those looking for this great George Clooney vehicle, should be happy with this high definition version. Clooney once again shows us why he is one of today's top actors with his performance as a lawyer "janitor", working behind the scenes of a large law firm, to "clean up" cases. When he finds out that he is a target of a hit squad, he means to put an end to the law firms shady practices. Academy Award winning actress Tilda Swinton and and an amazing performance by Tom Wilkinson along with Sydney Pollack make this a powerful, modern drama that you won't soon forget. Recommended.

This Blu-Ray release is part of FOX/MGM's Father's Day war films promotion and this disc has a truly impressive picture, for a film produced in 1968. Battle Of Britain boasts an impressive cast : Michael Caine, Trevor Howard, Laurence Olivier, Christopher Plummer, Michael Redgrave, Robert Shaw, Susannah York and Edward Fox among others. The problem Battle Of Britain has is a crappy script that never really gets you into the story.
