Paramount comes back into the Blu-Ray camp with this solid action thriller starring Nicholas Cage, Jessica Biel, and Julianne Moore. Cage plays a small time Vegas entertainer who just happens to be able to see two minutes into the future. Life is no surprise for Cage, who has been studied as a child and just wants to find his mystery woman (Jessica Biel) and settle down. After he foils a casino robbery attempt , he is marked by the FBI but because of his abilities can get away with just a rounding of a corner or bending down to tie a shoe. The FBI wants Cage to find and foil a terrorist attempt which Moore is investigating. The film is loosely based on a story from Philip K Dick.

Picture and sound are outstanding in this Blu-Ray release from Paramount. Soundtrack choices are uncompressed PCM or Dolby digital 5.1. The picture is a bit oversaturated but stunning. The numerous effects are a joy to watch as Cage dodges bullets, ducks from rolling cars, and hunts down terrorists with his mental powers.

All extras are in HD but are the same as the standard dvd. They include 2 minutes in the future with Jessica Biel, making of feature, grand idea, and visualizing the move. The trailer included is also in HD.

Paramount has jumped back on the Blu-Ray bandwagon with an outstanding Blu-Ray release with crystal clear picture, powerful, lossless sound and HD extras.
