Review

The good news is that Image Entertainment has released a two-disc CD and concert DVD of Megadeth's recent triumphant live performance in Buenos Aires. The bad news is that, rather than being packaged together, the CD & DVD are sold separately. Megadeth has always been a great live act, and indeed, the CD features a great selection of hits and forgotten gems, but it hasn't been that long since their last live album, and only die-hard fans will feel the need to pick up yet another one. The DVD of the same concert was unavailable for review.

"Live Vengeance '82" isn't new to DVD. It was originally included as part of Judas Priest's 5-disc boxed set, "Metology." And (a long, long time ago), it was available as "Judas Priest Live" on VHS. Though this release is probably redundant to die hard Priest fanatics, it serves nicely as a nostalgic souvenir for those of us who grew up on them.
