In the world of NASCAR, fans can essentially be separated into two groups: those who love Jeff Gordon and those who hate him. But whether or not his detractors want to admit it, Jeff Gordon has arguably done more to dispel NASCAR's image as a mere redneck past-time than any driver in history. This 81 minute disc, which profiles the driver both on and off the track, will not convert anyone into becoming fans, but it does do a decent job justifying his appeal to those who love him. I think it is prudent to mention that I'm a huge NASCAR fan, and Tony Stewart is my favorite driver. As such, I am required by law to hate Gordon. But even I have to admit Gordon's phenomenal driving skills, as well as his easygoing personality, have helped elevate the sport to the popularity it now enjoys. "24 x 24" glosses over the more controversial aspects of his career (such as his numerous rivalries with other drivers, and the division his presence creates among NASCAR fans), but he comes across as a nice guy, and this disc (while absolutely pandering to his millions of fans), adequately explains his importance to the sport, whether you like him or not. From Lions Gate
