The original "Porky's", which inspired a wave of snickering teen sex comedies in the early 80s, was little more than a poor man's "Animal House," but successful enough to spawn two sequels. For those who fondly remember the franchise, this boxed set contains all three films. I suppose there might be some nostalgic value here, but even the first film, which was always more crude & titillating than clever, hasn't aged well. Smarmy sex gags, so funny when you're a teenager, are seldom as amusing 25 years later. And since it's unlikely that this best-forgotten relic of the 80s will find a new audience today, the only real appeal of this set will be to those feeling the need to revisit their adolescence, and anyone curious to see future sex-pot Kim CattraIl in an early role as a gym teacher who howls like a wolf during orgasm. The sequels are even worse...two of the most cynical, intelligence-insulting attempts at cashing in on a brand name of any movie franchise in the 80s. From Fox Home Entertainment
