Review

"Blue Eyes Of The Broken Doll" is a dull, twist-filled who dunnit.

The story: Gilles, an ex-con, is on the road in search of work with the hope that he can put his past behind him. Luckily, he manages to find a job working as a caretaker for a group of three lovely ladies (some of which even fall for him). The fun doesn’t last for Gilles when dead bodies begin popping up around town. Is Gilles going back to his old ways or is someone else responsible for the grizzly murders?

“Blue Eyes Of The Broken Doll” is a tedious horror mystery that is overloaded with so many twists and MacGuffins that by the time the “surprise” ending rolls around, you don’t really care who the killer is nor what their motive was. Of course, gore-hounds may want to give this flick a look as it contains plenty of cut out eyeballs out and women, men, and even a pig being killed.

Extras include an introduction by Paul Naschy, a theatrical trailer, a still gallery, Spanish credit sequence, and an informative commentary by Paul Naschy, Carlos Aured, and Angel Gomez Rivero.
