The plot: A group of criminals (led by Mister) are after a load of treasure that is stashed away on a planet. Unfortunately for the criminals, their treasure hunt will not be so easy as they are being pursued by a government agency and a group of robotic assassins. This complete series set contains all 12 episodes.

After viewing “Coyote Ragtime Show,” I honestly didn’t know what to make of the show. As you can tell by the odd title, this is one out there show that is nearly impossible to explain. To give you an idea of the things that you can expect to see in ‘Coyote,’ let me just say that you can expect explosions galore, a preacher with an afro, gun toting Lolita androids, criminals, spaceships, a planet named Graceland, etc. While it certainly sounds appealing on paper, the show winds up being a head spinning and lackluster mess. The problem is that there is just not enough story here. With such a large group of characters and strange locals you would expect this show to be rather deep, but alas it’s essentially one long 12 episode chase sequence that doesn’t amount to a whole lot.

The widescreen picture quality was solid, but unspectacular.

Huzzah! This disc actually contains both English and Japanese Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks. Naturally, both tracks sounded superb.
