Review

Kevin Bacon stars in this revenge tale of a straight family man who seeks retribution for the murder of his son by a street gang. Bacon does a remarkable job of acting as we witness the slow deterioration of his character from loving family man to almost psychotic killer. Comparisons to the remake of Cape Fear and of course Death Wish come to mind while viewing this Fox release. In the end though, without revealing any spoilers, it left me feeling a bit down, without a very satisfying ending. Extras are plentiful on the single disc and include a feature on making of a specific action scene, and a 20 minute interview with Bacon. A must purchase for Bacon fans, a rental for action fans in general.
