“The Infinite Quest” is a 47 minute 13 part animated adventure that sees the Doctor and Martha (both voiced by David Tennant and Freema Agyeman) trying to stop the villainous Baltazar from collecting datachips to unlock the Infinite. The infinite is an ancient relic from the dark times that is sad to give those who find it their hearts desire. 

For those who get past the fact that this is an animated tale, “The Infinite Quest” is actually an enjoyable yarn. It was nice to see the Doctor traveling all across the universe instead of being stuck on Earth as he is in most of the recent episodes. We get to see the Doctor encountering robotic birds, pirates, a literal skeleton crew, aliens, insects, a war zone, oil rigs, and a prison planet. Yes, it may be rather predictable, but it’s certainly cram packed with everything you could possibly want from the Whoniverse. Personally, I would love to see more animated adventures like this, especially ones with past Doctors. The possibilities are literally endless as to what kinds of stories you could tell with this medium.

The 1.77:1 widescreen picture was sharp all around and the audio quality also contained clean sounding voice work, music and sound F/X.
