The plot: A respected author (Albert) is seduced by his stepdaughter (Eugenie) to go on a killing spree. The two believe they can commit perfect evidence free crimes, but another author suspects them. Meanwhile, Eugenie winds up falling for one of her possible victims which winds up making Albert jealous.

"Eugenie De Sade" boasts a wickedly convincing performance by the gorgeous Soledad Miranda as the femme fatale Eugenie, but it's too bad the story itself is hard to buy into. The whole "plot" is very loosely put together and seems like nothing more than a set-up to the sensual, perverted crimes and sex scenes. Another problem is the overabundance of long drawn out filler scenes and the fact that the crimes commited are far from "brilliant" as they are so often described in the flm. Still, if you're looking for a risque character-centric film, you could do worse than watch "Eugenie De Sade."

Once agan, Blue Underground delivers the goods with a beautifully remastered widescreen picture with only minimal amounts of grain. The Dolby Digital Mono track is also clear (maybe a little too clear as the tedious music is bound to drive viewers insane).

Extras: A theatrical trailer and a 20 minute interview with Jess Franco talking about character relationships, how he discovered Marquis de Sade, etc.
