"The Forest" is a goofy slasher.

The story begins with two couples escaping city life by going on a camping trip. Instead of camping together, the women and men decide to go off on their own. It isn't before long that they encounter a crazed redneck killer and his ghostly family. Can they come out of the forest alive?

After the torturous "Don't Go In The Woods," I was hoping to sit down and watch a fun camp slasher. At first, I thought I would actually enjoy "The Forest" as the lush cinematography and playful interaction between the characters caught my interest. However, once the characters arrive in the forest, the movie takes a bizarre turn when a ghost mother and her two ghost children pop up out of nowhere. As you can imagine, this so-called twist was completely out of place and downright silly. Even worse, the "killer" is nothing more than a jealous redneck who spouts such dialogue as "Crazy? Of course I am!"

Extras include a photo gallery, Code Red trailers, and cast and crew interviews that reveal fun facts about the credits and how the project came about.

Ring On Fire: Women's Extreme Wrestling

Category: Quick Reviews
"Ring On Fire" is a 63 minute WEW event that consists of 5 matches. The matches are: Talia Vs. Christi Ricci, Butch vs. Nurse T, April Hunter Vs. Black Barbie, Jazz Vs. Sumie Sakai, and Angel Orsini (AKA The Full Breasted Italian) Vs. Amber O'Neill. Unlike TNA and other wrestling discs I have reviewed, the WEW league seems to be more less professional and more like a cable access show. Not only are there very little production values, but the event itself takes place in a tiny arena that looks like a school gym. One would think they could put a little more effort into the league. As for the matches themselves, there's nothing new here. Wrestlers like Jazz take their sweet time showboating and taunting before getting into the ring, and a few of the fights (namely Butch vs. Nurse T) are over before they even started. By the way, a friendly word of advice to viewers who do watch this disc: mute the sound. One of the announcers (Francine) is a loud mouthed woman who does nothing but insult every wrestler that comes on stage. Why they even allowed her near a microphone is anyone's guess.

Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it
doesn't take much to see that the problems
of three little people don't amount to a
hill of beans in this crazy world.
