Review

CGI brings the comic cat Garfield to the screen in this family oriented film, with Bill Murray as the voice of Garfield. While this feature was short lived in the theaters this summer, my eight year old found it to be great fun and watched it three times within a 24 hour period. I also found Garfield's humor to be quite entertaining. It has a good melding of CGI and real actors and animals and is good natured fun.

Scars Of Dracula

Christopher Lee is Dracula in this film which starts off with the Count being brought back by some bat's blood. Almost immediately thereafter, he is doing what he does best, killing innocent people and drinking their blood. After a few killings, the town's folk embark on a trip up to the Count's home to kill him. Yes, the story is pretty basic, a little campy, and all together, not that good, but compared to some recent vampire films (The Forsaken), you should be surprised with how fun this film actually is. Lee was made for this role, and does an excellent job as Dracula. I cannot say this is one of the best vampire films I have seen, though it is far from the worst, but come in with an open mind and you will be happy with what you see.
