Review

An all-star cast makes this World War II prison tale highly entertaining with too many stars to mention here. New transfer is far superior to the older version out there so its worth a second buy for this classic film.MGM Home Video

"Hitler: The Last Ten Days"  is a tour deforce for Alec Guiness as Hitler in this Italian-British production, which also stars Simon Ward as a young assistant witnessing the last days of the Third Reich from the Bunker. Guiness's performance is worth a watch by itself as it shows what a fine actor he was. He portrays Hitler as an out-of touch leader living on past glory and ignoring the facts, even as Russian troups close in on The Bunker. The supporting cast also has some fine performances in this mixture of Italian and British actors, supporting their leader out of fear until the end.
