Review

As one of the finest correspondents ever to share studio space with Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show", John Oilver has shown a surfeit of acerbic and cheeky wit in his reporting and commentary.

Like the best people to join the staff of Comedy Central's fake news empire, Oliver had a fine career as the host of a radio show on BBC and as a stand up comic in his native England. This DVD showcases Oliver in his stand up guise, poking holes at political and cultural targets galore, as well as tearing his new home country down a few pegs. Oliver stands out from the rest of the political comedy crowd thanks to his wry delivery, obvious smarts and his keen eye for the absurd. It's a brilliantly funny special and one well worth your time and attention.
