Review

An interesting character study disguised as a heist film, "The Lookout" features an amazing performance by Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a guy with a once-promising hockey career who, after a careless accident, must now deal with brain damage, as well as a mysterious acquaintance who wants to recruit him for a bank robbery. The film itself isn't really the action thriller the cover art suggests, but there ARE moments of nerve-racking suspense, mainly because of the incredible attention paid to character detail. Similar to "Fargo" in tone, only without the abundant humor. A small winner all around, from Buena Vista.
