Review

"Manswers" is mostly mindless entertainment.

“Manswers” is a dumbed down informational television series (aimed primarily at males) that goes about answering questions like “Can you beat a breathalyzer?”, “How tough are implants?”, “What is the best cure for a hangover?”, and “What type of girl are best in bed?” While this 90 minute “Best of” goes by fast, “Manswers” contains awful cartoony sketches/reenactments, an obnoxious narrator, and questionable fact sources. Additionally, most of the lame questions revolve around alcohol, drugs, and how to score with women. Then again, what else would you expect from a show that airs on Spike? Turn on the Discovery Channel and learn something useful instead of watching this trash.

 

The fullscreen picture varies in quality as the special is mixed with interviews, sketches, and stock footage. Generally, however, the PQ is tolerable.

 

The Dolby Digital Stereo track is solid, but also annoying since the narration by Matt Short is so loud.

 

No extras have been included.
