Mixed martial arts fans will dig this PrideFC disc.

BCI continues to release DVDs of the mixed martial arts league Pride Fighting Championships. This volume contains the following fights: Joachim Hansen Vs. Jason Ireland, Wanderlei Silva Vs. Dan Henderson, Takanori Gomi Vs. Nick Diaz, Mauricio Rua Vs. Alistair Overeem, Sergey Kharitonov Vs. Mike Russow, Hayato Sakurai Vs. Mac Danzig, Kazuo Misaku Vs. Frank Trigg, Travis Wiuff Vs. James Lee, and Antonio Nogueira Vs. Sokoudjou.

As with previous PrideFC discs this is an entertaining batch of mixed martial arts matches. The highlights, for me at least, were the battles between Diaz and Gomi and the brutal match between Sakurai and Danzig. Both of these fights were intense, unpredictable, and entertaining. They were also undeniably great examples of the MMA at its best.

I was also a fan of the impressive fights between Sokoudjou and Nogueira and Wiuff and Lee. Even if the fights were super quick, it’s almost more fun to see these kind of matches because it shows how outstanding and talented the winning fighters are.
