Review

This Academy Award winner from 1973 seems a bit tame but is still briliant in its execution. Newman and Redford team up again as a con man seeking revenge for an old friend's murder and a con man who has seen some rough times. Together they bring together a team to help them get the baddie, played by Robert Shaw and win a bunch of dough. There are also a few surprises along the way, which made this film so good. Sound has been redone in Dolby 5.1 and DTS. Extras include extensive interviews with the stars, a tribute to director George Roy Hill, and a look back at some great Hollywood double crosses. The two disc set comes in an attractive leatherette case.
