Totally Baked is an self described “Pot-umentaey”. A Half staged plotted story and half factoids about why pot should be legalized. The plot is minimal, and that is for the best, because it is pretty weak. In one sentence, “Totally Baked” is about a debate team being held hostage by two gun waving medical marijuana activists, soon the debate are arguing the joys of pot.

The whole film feels like it was created by a lots of friends, just trying to make each other laugh. This film does has a lot of laugh, but the overall production is poor and feels amateurish. The scenes that do work, are often very well written, and almost feel like staged stand up acts. The scenes that don't work often feel like porn film style film making.

One of the biggest flaws of this film is that it is preaching to the choir, I couldn't see anyone picking up this film, unless they are already a marijuana activist. The film spends a lot of time trying to convince you about how flawed the drug laws are. All the arguments are there and it is hard to dispute, but really a film full of nudity and bad acting is not going to sway anyone. They would have been better off just mixing the hard facts with stand up acts and sketches and leave the plot to Harold and Kumar.

I would recommend this film to the pot film fan though. Not as bad as say “Dude, Wheres My Car”, but it is not going to set the world a blaze either. Get it, blazed. Dude that is funny.
