Review

This is one of Elvis' last movies before trying to regain some legitimacy as a singer. As a manager of a traveling show, he sings a few forgettable songs as he goes through the motions. The Trouble with Girls isn't the worst movie Elvis has made, but it's no Jailhouse Rock, that's for sure. Die-hard Elvis completists may want it, but casual fans would be better off seeking out one of his earlier efforts, when his heart was still in it. From Warner Home Video

Like the simultaneously released Extended Edition of Tom Hanks' "That Thing You Do!", the original version of "Big" was fine the way it was, and the 20 minutes added to this version do nothing to improve upon the already-charming story. But at least this 2-disc set includes both cuts of the film, along with some entertaining bonus features. If you've never added the film to your collection, this is a keeper, but if you already have a previous version, you could probably get by without it. From Fox Home Entertainmen
