Review

This great looking double DVD set costs $5.00 more then the single disc set and is a perfect example of a disturbing trend by studios to release a single disc and have extras on a second disc. The second disc contains a music video and a short making of documentary, a few printed photo postcards are thrown in. It is not worthy of the extra disc or price. Stick with the discounted single disc version.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End

Here's one of those extremely rare cases where a direct-to-video sequel is actually a lot more fun than the theatrical original. This is thanks largely to some impressively gruesome deaths (including a woman who is split in half, a scene which must be seen to be believed), and a great supporting performance by Henry Rollins as a former marine now hosting an apocalyptic reality show, which happens to take place in the same woods as the first film. There's also some amusing satire of the media before"Wrong Turn 2" degenerates into yet-another psycho-inbred hillbilly murder spree, but this one moves a lot faster than the original, and the make-up effects are top-notch.
